Paying close attention to the nutritional needs of your strawberry crops and keeping them well fertilised can lead to improved quality and consistency of the crop and higher yields. Strawberries require potassium to help them acquire water through the roots and potassium also helps control water loss through transpiration. Magnesium is also taken in by the roots and this can compete with potassium so it’s important to keep the two at an appropriate ratio in the soil to prevent one nutrient from overriding the other which could lead to a deficiency.
Your guide to keeping strawberry crops well fertilised
By using the crop guide below, you can help you plants have stronger growth for improved fungicide performance, fewer calcium related disorders, higher productive yield , improved root development, improved uniformity and you can help them become more resilient to stress.
We recommend that NHCaDelta or NHK Delta and 1-4-All is applied during planting, with CalFlux also being used when the plants grow their first leaves. These three products should be used throughout the flowering process and during fruit formation. During fruit development, we recommend switching to NHKDelta and 1-4-All, with further applications of CalFlux during while the strawberries ripen.
